Well, it's official. I have been told by three Californians that I may join their elite west-coast club. Here's why:

- I've spent over a week in California. That's longer than a normal tourist or day tripper. I also know all the main highways and street names when navigating around San Diego. It's a pretty simple set-up, but the one-way roads can really get you tangled if you're not careful.

- I swam in the Pacific Ocean. My cousins and a friend came down for the Labor Day holiday and took me to beach right nearby Cornado and Point Loma. The water was COLD, but I did it. Fully submerged myself in the -20 degree water. It's actually not that bad once you in. After about 10 minutes you're body goes numb, so you can't feel a thing anyways!!

- Trader Joe's is now the only place I shop for food. Not only is it delicious and nutritious, but there's one on every corner. Right besides the Starbucks.
AND FOR THE CLINCHER . . .

- I ate at In-N-Out Burger. For those east coast residents out there, In-N-Out burger is a California burger joint that operates off a small menu w/ tasty results. There are basically four things on their menu. Burgers, fries, drinks and shakes. And there's only three types of burgers you can order. The trick is to order off their "secret" menu. Only Californians know the "secret" menu and I don't want to be kicked out after just receiving new membership, so I can't tell you. But if you like spicy things, the cheezeburger w/ chopped chili is delicious. And don't ever order a Flying Dutchman.
Even though I am now a member of the California club, there's still a lot more that I need to experience before becoming a premiere card holder. If anyone has any suggestions, give me a holla!!
Leiza I am loving this! I hope to see you soon!
