Things I will Miss About California

1) Rollerblading is still cool. If you're on the walkways near the ocean, there are joggers, speed walkers, long boards, bikes and rollerblades. Takes me back to the day when I rolled around Funway.

2) They write the speed limit on the road out here. Good news: You never have to go very far w/o knowing how fast you should be going. Bad news: No excuses when you get pulled over for speeding.

3) The View. There's just something about waking up in the morning and turning the corner of the dorm rooms to these majestic mountains sitting just on the other side of a smooth lake. Sometimes its completely sunny and then there are days were the fog just sits there and covers the peaks. Its just beautiful.

4) Taco Tuesday. 'Nuf said.

5) Running outside in the middle of December. It still gets dark before 5 p.m., but you only need a long-sleeved shirt and shorts to be good. Yay warm weather!!

6) My Boss. Very understanding and tailored my internship to my interests. I hope my future employers are cool like this.

7) The Beach. The Pacific Ocean is cold and usually I'm one for mountains (if you couldn't tell from #3), but I've come to enjoy the beach even more, especially w/ a good book in tow. It's really relaxing and you see all sorts of people. The sunsets aren't all that bad either. ;)

8) Eating all the fresh fruit to my little heart's content.

9) The friends that I've made here. I will miss the yoga, Wednesday Wal-Mart runs, "date" nights out on the town, Elevated, shuffleboard, Sing-Off parties and sitting around at lunch and dinner, chatting for over an hour.
